A Hermon man riding his snowmobile on the Katahdin Loop Trail near Millinocket was injured when he lost control of his sled Saturday afternoon. He was flown by LifeFlight helicopter to Eastern Maine Medical Center in Bangor for treatment of a rib injury, said Warden Sgt. Bill Chandler.

“He went off the trail on a corner,” Chandler said.

Game Wardens Dan Carroll and Jim Davis received the call for help just before 2 p.m. Saturday and traveled to the remote location of the crash to assist Theodore Trembley, 45. The Hermon man was treated at the hospital for the rib injury and then released, Chandler said.
