Red Cross conducting blood drives around the state in April

The American Red Cross, Northern New England Blood Services Region will hold blood drives in cities and towns throughout Maine in April. All eligible and new blood donors are encouraged to give blood to make sure there is an adequate blood supply for patients in need.

All donors will receive a coupon for a free regular 6-inch sub at participating Subway restaurants in Maine during the month of April.

Blood drives will be held in:

Fort Kent – noon to 5 p.m. April 4, University of Maine Fort Kent.

Caribou – 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. April 5, Caribou Inn & Conference Center.

Fort Kent – 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. April 6, Fort Kent Community High School.

Ashland – 1-6 p.m. April 8, Pioneer Lodge 72.

Belfast – 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. April 9, Maine Coast Welcome Center.

Millinocket – 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. April 9, Millinocket Middle School.

Bangor – 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. April 11, Husson University.

Deer Isle – 1-6 p.m. April 12, Deer Isle/Stongington High School.

Dover Foxcroft – 1-6 p.m. April 13, Foxcroft Academy.

Thorndike – 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. April 15, Mount View High School.

Watervile – 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. April 15, Waterville High School.

Bar Harbor – 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. April 16, YMCA.

Orono – 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. April 18 and 19, University of Maine.

Bangor – 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. April 20, Eastern Maine Medical Center.

South China – 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. April 21, Fairpoint South China.

Belfast – 1-6 p.m. April 22, Belfast Masonic Lodge.

Eddington – 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. April 23, North Brewer/Eddington United Methodist Church

Newport – 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. April 23, Newport Cultural Center.

Dover Foxcroft – 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. April 25, Mayo Hospital.

Calais – 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. April 25, Washington County Community College.

Skowhegan- 1-6 p.m. April 28, Skowhegan Community Center.

Old Town – 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. April 29, Old Town High School.

Stockton Springs – 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. April 30, Stockton Springs Elementary School.

Also, the American Red Cross Donor Center, located 900 B Hammond St. in Bangor, is open for donations 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.Tuesday through Thursday; 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Fridays; 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. the first and third Saturday of each month.
