  1. What is your motivation to “Move and Improve?”

I have lost 80 pounds over the past year and a half and I want to keep it off! Move and improve helps keep me honest. I have been a participant for over four years.

  1. What is your biggest obstacle to “Move and Improve”?

Finding the time! With the schedule I have of four ten hour days working 6:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., I have been lucky to have a gym (Bangor Brewer Athletic Club) that has great classes and equipment available when I can get there. Also, my Border Collie, Pippen, will not let me forget that he wants to walk or play Frisbee too!

  1. What kind of activities do you engage in to reach your goal?

I take exercise classes. BodyPump (a weight lifting class) BodyCombat ( a mixed martial arts class) and Bodyflow, which is a Yoga type class. The variety keeps me interested, and the gym is within walking distance from my house so it is convenient to get to. No excuses! I also am training to run in the Warrior Dash in Amesbury, Massachusetts in June with a friend of mine who has lost 100 lbs. She is my biggest supporter next to my husband, Calvin. Of course, I like to walk and play with my dog, Pippin too!
