CARIBOU, Maine — A 40-year-old Mars Hill man was indicted by the Aroostook County grand jury on Tuesday evening on a number of serious felony charges, including solicitation of murder.

Mark S. Stetson was one of 59 people indicted by the grand jury, Aroostook County District Attorney Todd Collins said Wednesday. He said that he could not go into detail about the charges against Stetson or why they have been lodged, as no court documents have yet been filed.

Stetson was indicted on charges of violation of conditions of release, burglary, solicitation of murder, solicitation of kidnapping and solicitation of robbery. Collins said that his arrest and indictment were the result of an investigation by the Aroostook County Sheriff’s Department, Maine State Police, Maine Drug Enforcement Agency and the District Attorney’s Office.

In a separate matter, an Eagle Lake man was indicted on three charges stemming from a two-month investigation by the MDEA.

Bryon Nadeau, 61, Eagle Lake was indicted on charges of aggravated trafficking in scheduled drugs, unlawful possession and trafficking drugs and criminal forfeiture.
