Old Town baseball, softball registrations this month

OLD TOWN, Maine — The Old Town Little League Baseball and Old Town ASA Softball will be holding player registrations from 4:30-7 p.m. Wednesdays, March 23 and 30, at the Old Town Union Hall. Ages are 4 to 16 for baseball and 9 to 16 for softball. For information, call 991-4742.

Mobile License Unit schedule changed in Millinocket

MILLINOCKET, Maine — The Bureau of Motor Vehicles Mobile License Unit has changed its schedule to 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 2-3:30 p.m. Friday, April 22, instead of March 18. Brewer church offering ‘Irish Fling’

BREWER, Maine — The First Congregational Church of Brewer is hosting Irish Fling at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, March 17, at the church, 35 Church St.

The menu will feature a complete corned beef dinner with all the trimmings. Admission is $8 for adults and $4 for children under 12. University of Maine student Garrett Artman will entertain on the piano and organ, and there will be room for dancing.

Proceeds will benefit the church scholarship fund for young members to attend Pilgrim Lodge in West Gardiner, a spiritual summer camp program. For information, call 989-7350.

Eat Well program offers nutrition lessons by mail

BANGOR, Maine — The Eat Well nutrition program sponsored by University of Maine Cooperative Extension is offering free healthy nutrition lessons by mail, available  to income-eligible individuals. Children’s yard sale scheduled in Brewer

BREWER, Maine — The Brewer Parks and Recreation Department will host a children’s yard sale 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, April 2, at the Rec in Brewer. The sale will include clothes, toys, furniture and more. For information, call 989-5199.
