Camp-A-Thon for homeless teens in Rockland
ROCKLAND, Maine — A Camp-A-Thon in support of homeless teens will be held from 5 p.m. Saturday, March 19, through 7 a.m. Sunday, March 20, in Rockland’s Chapman Park (corner of Main and Park streets).
There will be 15 sponsored, overnight campers. The public is invited to attend from 5-9 p.m. March 19, to enjoy free, community-contributed stone soup, speakers, live music, readings and performances.

Burgers and Blues fundraiser March 31
SOUTHWEST HARBOR, Maine — Sip’s Restaurant in Southwest Harbor will host Burgers and Blues at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, March 31, to benefit the Nathan Bright Keegan Memorial Education Fund that supports the substance abuse prevention work of Acadia Family Center.
Burgers and Blues will include music by local “blues boy” Mark Kanter, accompanied by his wife, Jill, on bass. The dinner menu includes hummus and pita, choice of lamb, turkey, beef or portabella mushroom sliders, coleslaw or Caesar salad, shoestring fries and homemade desserts.
