BELFAST — “Cast and Found Redux” exhibit,” through March 30 at Waterfall Arts, 256 High St. Fifteen artists who purchased pieces from last year’s “Cast and Found” show were asked to create pieces incorporating or paying homage to foundry patterns salvaged from Waterville Iron Works, a foundry that was in operation on the Kennebec River in the late 1800s. HALLOWELL — “Young at Art” eighth annual exhibition of children’s artwork, March 16-26, at the Harlow Gallery, 160 Water St. Each year the Kennebec Valley Art Association invites art teachers from elementary and middle schools from throughout the greater Augusta area to select their best student art to showcase in this celebration of young artists. PORTLAND — Southern Maine Chapter of the Embroiderers’ Guild of America hosts the Marvis Cohen Memorial Exhibit, 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday, April 16, at the Eastland Hotel in Portland. The exhibit features embroideries representing a broad range of needlework techniques and honors the late Marvis Cohen of Falmouth. Cohen was instrumental in forming the Southern Maine Chapter.
