LEE – Arthur L. Crocker, 91, died March 10, 2011, at Penobscot Valley Hospital, Lincoln. Arthur was born Sept. 21, 1919, in Lee, the son of Harry and Doris (Hanscom) Crocker.

He was a staff sergeant in the U.S. Air Force during World War II as an airplane mechanic, serving in the U.S. and England. Arthur retired from Lincoln Pulp & Paper after 40 years of employment.

He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Kathryn (Stevens) Crocker; children, Carol Marino and Paul, Diane Whitney and Dan, Karla Rutherford and Garry, and Kevin; grandchildren, Donna Bard and Mike, Darren Whitney and Deena, Jason Millett, Lee Millet and Dawn, and Matt Fish; great-grandchildren, JR, Leo, Caitlyn, Nickolas, Kaylee and Andrew; two sisters, Hilda (Crocker) Stockley and Anna (Crocker) Hanscom; many nieces and nephews. He will be missed by his special cats, Sophie and Pixie. In addition to his parents, Arthur was predeceased by brothers, Clair, Bertran, Erland and Frederick; and sisters, Argie, Ruth, Agnes, Jean and Pauline.

Friends may call 2-5 p.m. Sunday at Clay Funeral Home, 7 Lee Road, Lincoln, where funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Monday with the Rev. Darrell Joiner officiating.
