Eighteen apply for Brownville town manager’s position

By Diana Bowley, BDN Staff

BROWNVILLE, Maine — Eighteen candidates have applied to become the new town manager of Brownville.

The applications, which represent a ‘’very diverse group,’’ were reviewed Monday by selectmen, according to Town Manager Sophie Wilson. Wilson will leave her post on March 31 to become Orono’s town manager.

Wilson said Friday that town officials hope to narrow the field now before she leaves her post.
