Wildlife Appreciation Day planned in Augusta March 15

AUGUSTA, Maine — The Wildlife Alliance of Maine is sponsoring the sixth annual Maine Wildlife Appreciation Day 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday, March 15, at the State House Hall of Flags.

The purpose of the event is to recognize the importance of living wildlife and wildlife watching to Maine’s ecosystem and economy.

Guest speaker, Michael Good, president of Down East Nature tours, will speak at 10 a.m. about the importance of wildlife-related ecotourism in Maine. For more information, call 445-2360.
