Entries now being accepted for Law Day Contest

BANGOR, Maine — The Penobscot County Bar Association is now accepting entries from students in grades nine through 12 enrolled in a Penobscot County school, or home-schooled in Penobscot County in the equivalent grades, for its annual Law Day Contest.

The entry deadline is Friday, April 15.

Entries may be an essay or a poster about this year’s topic, which is “The Legacy of John Adams, from Boston to Guantanamo: Does the presumption of innocence still exist today, in the face of: the 24-hour news cycle, stereotyping of disfavored groups, creation of and access to information over the Internet?”

Information and contest rules are available at Penobscot County high schools or through Joseph B. Bethony at the law firm Gross, Minsky & Mogul, 23 Water St. in Bangor or by calling him at 942-4644.
