Series of website seminars to be offered small businesses in Piscataquis County

The Maine Woods Tourism Training Initiative, in partnership with Piscataquis County, will offer a series of technology workshops for small businesses. The three seminars will build on one another and are suitable for people who have websites and those who are considering how to develop a web presence for marketing purposes.

The technology marketing program series is in response to a survey conducted throughout Piscataquis County in 2010 and is a program of the Piscataquis Tourism Development Authority, a subcommittee of the Piscataquis County Economic Development Council..

The series will be offered from 9 a.m. to noon at the Dover-Foxcroft Municipal Building on Morton Avenue and from 2 to 5 p.m. at the Greenville Municipal Building on March 8, 15, and 22.

John Rust of John Rust Consulting in Hampden will conduct the March 8 and 15 seminars.

The March 22 program will be conducted by Kelly Cotiaux, a partner and marketing specialist of Sephone Internet Solutions of Bangor.

The admission fee is $10 for each series or $20 for all three events in either location.

The first 10 businesses to register will be offered free feedback on their websites and web presence during each seminar, if desired. To register, call Janet Sawyer at 564-3638 or 800-539-0332.
