Turner woman dies after car hits tractor-trailer

The Associated Press

AUBURN, Maine — Police in the Maine city of Auburn say they’re still trying to learn what caused a car crash that killed a 32-year-old Turner woman.

Police say a car driven by Allyson Dunn was traveling north on Center Street Sunday morning when her vehicle slid into the southbound lane and hit a tractor-trailer truck.

Police say Dunn was removed from the wreckage of her car and taken to the Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston where she later died.

The driver of the truck was not hurt.

Auburn police are being assisted by an accident reconstruction expert from the Maine State Police as well as the state police’s Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Unit.
