Folk band Old Sledge kicks off tour at The Reverend Noble Pub in Bangor

BANGOR, Maine — The American folk band Old Sledge will kick off the tour of its first full-length album, “Don’t Let Your Deal Go Down,” at 9:30 p.m. Thursday, March 3, at The Reverend Noble Pub, 10 Broad St. in Bangor.

Old Sledge combines the do-it-yourself work ethic of American punk and traditional music sounds with saw the strings off your fiddle hillbilly dance music. It has won numerous awards for its instrumentation and vocals, including first place at the Appalachian String Band Competition and awards at the West Virginia Fiddle and Banjo Championships.
