BANGOR, Maine — Residents of eastern Maine will have an opportunity to sign up for a Community Supported Agriculture, or CSA, program during a fair from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday at the Unitarian Universalist Church, at 120 Park St.

During the fair, co-sponsored by Food AND Medicine, the Maine Council of Churches and the Maine Organic Farmers and Growers Association, attendees will have an opportunity to meet representatives of 11 area farms and learn more about CSAs.

More local farmers than ever are offering CSAs, according to organizers. They said joining a CSA is one way the public can support local farms and eat healthy, delicious, fresh food this year.
