LePage calls for dividing DHHS into two agencies

Six years ago, then-governor John Baldacci merged the Department of Mental Health and the Department of Health and Human Services to create the super-Department of Health and Human Services, now the state’s largest and most complex bureaucratic agency.  On Thursday, Gov. Paul LePage said DHHS is too unwieldy and should be split in two again.  MPBN reports the story here. — Meg Haskell
