Maine’s HealthInfoNet takes national award

Maine’s HealthInfoNet program, an electronic health information exchange system connecting Maine’s largest hospitals and physician practices, has received the 2011 IT Innovator Award from the professional publication Healthcare Informatics.

“The award recognizes [HealthInfoNets’s]  leadership and creativity in building a robust and comprehensive clinically based statewide health information exchange,” says an article posted online today by health IT corporation Orion Health.
