A Bangor woman who was awakened by a fight in her apartment Sunday morning was attacked and had her head smashed into a door when she tried to break up the fight, Bangor police Sgt. Paul Edwards said Monday.
The argument woke up the 23-year-old Bangor woman just before 9 a.m. and “when she came out she saw two people fighting with her brother,” the sergeant said. Shortly afterward, “she was grabbed and her head was smashed into the side of a door,” he said.
Police say Desiree Hazlett, 26, of Levant attacked the victim and she was charged with assault. The other people who were in the fight declined to press charges, so no one else was charged, Edwards said.
