Which environmental regulations are too stringent?

Through LD 1, Gov. LePage wants ease some regulations on businesses and private development. Which rules are too strict? Which ones would you cut or ease? Why? Should they be “paperwork” rules first, or should strict laws regarding building near wetlands also be eased? On the other side of the coin, would eliminating or easing these regulations translate into job growth? Or could such a change devalue Maine’s vaunted quality of life? What about the potential costs — clean-up, health — of weaker environmental laws?
