Price $17.95

Weight: 9.6 ounces

The H2Duo is a Seattle Sports water bottle made from 18-8 food-grade stainless steel — no BPA to worry about here.

It holds a liter of fluid. It has an inch-and-a-half  wide neck, which makes for easy sipping. The cap has a low-profile flip loop making it easy to tether to your pack. The cap has flow-through threads so you can pour fluids out in a controlled manner.

The cap also has a glow-in-the-dark ring so you can locate the bottle in the dark.

The bottle stands 1½ inches high.

What sets this gem aside from other stainless steel water bottles on the market is this: It’s made in two pieces — a top and a bottom — that are threaded together and gasketed so as not to leak.

So? Well, for one, so you can have two cups.

So? Not so handy on the trail? Maybe so.

But what about back in camp? Unscrew the two pieces. Now you have a 3-inch-diameter cup that holds 24 ounces and is plenty wide for adding ice, and a goblet that holds 8 ounces and sits securely on its lid. You can even customize it with a colored band to cover the container’s threads. (I’d recommend two, one for the top, one for the bottom. It makes unscrewing the two parts way easier.)

Still not twigging in?

Think about something cool and refreshing such as lemonade shaken vigorously with ice and served in a goblet.

Think of crushed ice and an adult beverage. Think pina colada, think margarita, think Collins, think vodka martini (shaken, not stirred) or think of whatever tickles your taste buds.

Your H2Duo will have served you well on the trail, and even better when the day’s work is done.
