Tara Connolly (Bowdoin College sophomore), women’s hockey, made 68 saves on 72 shots for a .944 save percentage in a 1-1-0 weekend. 

Tom McGinn (Colby College), men’s hockey, scored two goals and had an assist in a 1-0-1 weekend. He’s posted seven goals and an assist in Colby’s 6-1-1 run.

North Atlantic Conference

Eric Taylor (UMaine-Farmington senior from Oakland), men’s basketball, averaged 15.7 points and 9.3 rebounds in a 3-0 week. He posted 29 points and 12 rebounds against Green Mountain.

Karin Bird (Thomas College junior from Lee), women’s basketball, averaged 31 points, 8.0 rebounds and 4.0 steals while shooting 48 percent from the field and 83 percent from the foul line in a 1-2 week.

Jules Kowalski (Colby College senior), women’s basketball, averaged 14.7 points, 6.0 rebounds and 4.0 assists in a 3-0 week for the Mules.

Little East Conference

Morgan Beede (University of Southern Maine freshman from Augusta), women’s indoor track rookie, finished the mile at the State of Maine Championships with a time of 5 minutes, 25.99 seconds, qualifying her for the New England Division III Championships.

George Foster (University of Southern Maine senior from Lewiston), men’s indoor track, won the 600-meters and ran a leg of the first-place 4×800 relay team to help the Huskies to a third-place finish at the Maine State Championships. He won the 600 with a time of 1 minute, 22.68 seconds.

DEXTER — Plymouth’s Dave Thurlow got a hole-in-one in the Dexter Municipal Golf Club Indoor League on the Desert Dunes course. He aced the 178-yard eighth hole with a 4-iron. The shot was witnessed by Will Rudmin, Donny Swan and Jimmy Costedio. It’s only the second hole-in-one in the Dexter Indoor League.
