An unknown person at the University of Maine’s Kennebec Hall in Orono pulled a fire alarm at 3:50 a.m. Saturday, causing the dorm to be evacuated, Joe Carr, university spokesman, said Sunday.

“The cause of the alarm could not be determined,” Carr said.

Kennebec Hall, designed as upperclassman housing, has a capacity of around 174, according to UMaine’s website. (Nok-Noi Ricker, BDN)
