ELLSWORTH, Maine — A Baileyville man has been charged in connection with the theft of his former employer’s pickup truck.

According to Lt. Harold Page of the Ellsworth Police Department, Roger Peterson, 57, was issued a summons for theft by unauthorized taking earlier this week in Baileyville. In a written press release, Page said Peterson allegedly stole a pickup truck owned by his employer after Peterson’s employment had been terminated on Jan. 14.

Chief Shawn Donahue of the Baileyville Police Department recovered the vehicle Tuesday and issued the summons for theft.

Peterson is scheduled to appear in Ellsworth District Court on March 22.
