CALAIS, Maine — A 19-year-old student is missing from Washington County Community College after last being seen getting into an unknown male’s car at the campus around 11 a.m. Thursday.

Calais police Officer William White said he is unsure whether Fawn Clark of East Machias left voluntarily or not.

“She was expected home by her parents this weekend,” he said. “She packed an overnight bag of clothes, but when her parents arrived at the college Friday, she was not there.”

The girl is not answering her cell phone, White said, which is particularly disconcerting.

White described Clark as 5 feet 8 inches tall, 185 pounds, with strawberry blonde hair and hazel eyes. The car she got into was described as dark blue. White said Clark’s roommates did not recognize the male operator.

Police are requesting anyone with information about Clark’s whereabouts to call Washington County Regional Communications Center at 454-2751.
