BANGOR – Daniel J. McKay, 50, passed away Jan. 12, 2011, after a gallant battle with pneumonia. He was born May 6, 1960, in Bangor. Danny’s first love, other than his family, was long haul trucking, which he did for almost 30 years. He is survived by two children, Amanda L. Clark of Glenburn and Matthew C. Clark of Plymouth; parents, Thomas and Lorraine McKay of Charleston; sister, Valerie Cammack and husband, Patrick, and their two daughters, Kim Cammack and Rachel Curtis and husband, Randy; and sister, Laurel McKay and daughter, Kate Demerest. Danny’s children thank St. Joseph Hospital for their loving attention to Danny and his family during their difficult time; and extend their deepest appreciation to their mother, Carolyn Clark; aunt and uncle, Val and Pat, for their comfort and vigilance at Dad’s bedside along with their daughters, Kim and Rachel. Cremation is planned and the memorial service will be held in spring.
