BUCKSPORT, Maine — A joint effort by three law enforcement agencies led to the arrest early Tuesday morning of three area men in connection with a break-in at a residence on the Silver Lake Road.

According to Sgt. David Winchester of the Bucksport Police Department, the three men arrested were Andrew Brages, 33, of Bucksport, Raymond Taylor, 49, also of Bucksport, and Jeremy Murphy, 20, of Orland. All three were charged with burglary. Murphy was also charged with violation of conditions of release.

The joint operation included officers from Bucksport, the Hancock County Sheriff’s Department and the Maine Drug Enforcement Agency, Winchester said. Based on information developed during an investigation, the officers set up surveillance on the Silver Lake Road residence, which was believed to be a target for a burglary.

Winchester released few details, because the case remains under investigation. The three men were arrested just after midnight on Tuesday on School Street in Bucksport.

Brages and Taylor have been released on bail. Murphy remained in custody at the Hancock County Jail as of Thursday afternoon.
