Sunday, 7:15 p.m. — A broken water pipe near Cascade Park has caused traffic to be diverted from State Street near the Dorothea Dix Psychiatric Center. Homes in the area are experiencing low water pressure. Bangor Water District crews were alerted to the break shortly after 5 p.m. Sunday. The affected pipe is a 20-inch main, according to construction supervisor Donald Cammack. Crews are expected to be at the scene well into Sunday night.
