At least 30 cars involved in pileups on I-93 in NH

CANTERBURY, N.H. — New Hampshire State Police say pileups involving at least 30 cars and a bus during whiteout conditions injured at least nine people, but there are no reports of fatalities.

Nursing supervisor Angelique Dixon at Concord Hospital says none of the injuries is life-threatening and that most of the injured are expected to be released from the hospital.

The early afternoon accident shut down the southbound side of Interstate 93 in Canterbury. Police say it was snowing at the time.

The interstate has been reopened to traffic.
