Ross leads UMF women by Plymouth State

PLYMOUTH, N.H. — Jillian Ross scored 17 points and grabbed eight rebounds to help power the University of Maine at Farmington past Plymouth State University 64-58 in women’s basketball action Thursday.

Ashley Busque scored 15 points for the Beavers while Kenni Norton added 13 points.

Kellie Walsh led Plymouth State with 16 points and seven steals. Michaela Galvin had 11 points and Amanda Kania scored 10 points.

At Biddeford, Beth Suggs tallied 18 points and eight rebounds in helping lead the University of New England to a non-conference win over Husson University of Bangor.

Kelley Paradis had 17 points, four assists and four steals for the Nor’easters. Carrie Bunnell chipped in 16 points and five assists.

Noelle Lincoln scored 12 points to power the Eagles. Brianna Hanscom had 11 points and four steals.
