WELLINGTON, Maine — Thieves have taken mainly large items from four camps on Kingsbury Road in Wellington over the past month, police say.

Investigator Jamie Kane of the Piscataquis County Sheriff’s Department said Thursday that a 10,000-watt generator and a 3,500-watt generator, three extension ladders, and a wood stove were taken during the break-ins.

In each camp, the doors were pried open to gain entry, Kane said.

Anyone who may have seen any suspicious activity on Kingsbury Road in recent weeks is encouraged to contact the Sheriff’s Department at 564-3304.
