Augusta shooting an apparent suicide, police say

AUGUSTA, Maine — Police say a fatal shooting in which one person died Monday morning was an apparent suicide.

The incident occurred at 20 State St. in Augusta, according to Detective Sgt. Matthew Clark of the Augusta Police Department. Clark declined to give any more details.

The Kennebec Journal reports the shooting was at the site of a 2008 shooting of Audrey Lou Benn by Raymond Leslie Clark.
