MILO – Carlton C. Bowley, 69, husband of Nancy J. (Clark) Bowley, died unexpectedly Dec. 29, 2010. He was born Nov. 16, 1941, in Brownville, son of Milo R. and Regina E. (Archer) Bowley. A graduate of Brownville Junction High School, Class of 1960, Carlton had been employed at Great Northern Paper Co. for 35 years. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, and camping with his wife, Nancy; and best buddy, Cassie. His favorite hangout was Frost Pond. Carlton especially enjoyed spending time with his family. He was a proud father and loved the time spent with his girls and three sons-in-law, John Peabody, Jeff Eaton and Ralph Buckminster. He is survived by his wife and best friend of 53 years, Nancy of Milo; four daughters, Liani J. Nutter, Lisa M. Buckminster, Lorri Bowley and Leah Peabody; a sister, Vivian McCormick and Tony Cyr; a brother, David Bowley and his wife, Ann; grandchildren, Justin Cook and his wife, Mellony, Robert Cook and Ashley Lancaster, Dustin Brown, Kyndle Brown, Jordan and Skylar Seavey, and Isaac Peabody; and great-grandchildren, Krais Cook and Makayla Cook. A graveside memorial service will be held in the spring in the family lot at Evergreen Cemetery, Milo. Arrangements are in the care of Lary Funeral Home.
