RANGELEY — As the semester’s grading period draws to a close, Chris Farmer, general manager of Saddleback Maine reminds New England students that if they are on the honor roll they qualify for a PEAK (Promoting Education and Activity for Kids) season pass.

The PEAK program is available for honor roll students in all of New England Honor roll students in Connecticut, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island and Vermont can purchase a PEAK pass for $99 and Maine honor roll students can purchase a PEAK pass for $59.00.

“Saddleback is now open for the season, and what better way to celebrate a student’s success in school this year than by getting outside and hitting the slopes?” asks Farmer. “A PEAK pass can make a perfect last minute holiday gift, too.”

Launched in 2009, Saddleback’s PEAK Program originally rewarded Maine’s honor roll students in K-12 with a discounted season pass. The PEAK program is designed to encourage students to perform well in school, to help curb childhood obesity, and to promote getting outside and enjoying winter sports.

Any student in New England up through grade 12 that makes the honor roll during the year is eligible to receive a discounted Saddleback season pass. Ideal proof is a list from the school that lists all honor roll students. Other acceptable proof is a report card or a letter from the school principal or superintendent. Any criteria set by the school that defines an honor student is acceptable to Saddleback.

Passes are available for purchase online, or by calling 866-918-2225. Proof of honor roll status must be furnished prior to issuance of the pass.
