Outlook: With semester exams behind them, the Black Bears look to earn their third straight victory. UMaine is coming off Sunday’s 74-54 win over Norfolk State at Memorial Gym. UMaine continues to search for its most effective personnel combinations to capitalize on its outstanding balance and depth. Colgate out of the Patriot League has struggled to an 0-8 start for the second straight season. The Raiders are coming off Saturday’s 100-43 shellacking at the hands of unbeaten and then-No. 7 Syracuse. This is Colgate’s seventh road game so far. UMaine hopes to contain a Raider offense that has averaged only 58.8 ppg and capitalize on a team that is averaging 18 turnovers. Opponents also have gotten to the foul line often (28 attempts per contest) against Colgate. UMaine is still waiting for McLemore to regain his shooting accuracy to complement the 3-point shooting of Mitchell and Singleton.
