WASHBURN – Alice M. Flood, 81, wife of the late Bernard Flood, passed away Dec. 16, 2010, at her home. She was born May 6, 1929, in Perry, the daughter of Ernest and Cora (Lambert) Pottle. She was a member of Dunntown Advent Christian Church and Downeast Order of the Eastern Star. Alice enjoyed raising dogs and birds, and was also an avid reader. She is survived by two sons and a daughter-in-law, Barry and Byron Flood and Maria Flood; and grandchildren, Valerie and Scott Flood, all of Washburn; a brother, James Pottle and his wife, Merlene, of Standish; a sister, Catherine Walls of Surry; several relatives and friends including Krissy and her three daughters, Karla, Krista and Kayla. In addition to her parents and husband, Alice was predeceased by a daughter, Valerie; a sister, Lilly Harriman; and two brothers, Arnold and Russell Pottle. Graveside services will be held later in the spring at Bayview Cemetery, Perry, with the Rev. George McLaughlin officiating. Arrangements are in the care of Duncan-Graves Funeral Home, Presque Isle.
