Power interruption Friday in Eastport


EASTPORT, Maine — Bangor Hydro-Electric Co. will interrupt service for about 1,150 customers in Eastport between 4 and 5 a.m. Friday, Dec. 17.

Company workers need to perform urgent repairs at a substation in Eastport, according to a press release issued Thursday.

Power will be out temporarily on the south end of town including County Road, Route 190 and side streets as well as Quoddy Village. Some customers will be affected for only a few minutes, while others will be affected for about an hour, according to the release.
