BROOKLIN, Maine — Law enforcement officials say they have suspects in a series of break-ins in Brooklin and Sedgwick that occurred during the past week.

According to Deputy Jeff McFarland, there have been at least six burglaries in the area, four being investigated by deputies and two by state police troopers. McFarland said several of the burglaries occurred over the weekend.

“They’ve been breaking into homes and rummaging through them,” McFarland said Thursday. “They’ve taken money, prescription drugs, firearms; all sorts of things.”

The deputy, who has been working with Detective Alan Brown on the investigation, said it appears that all the cases may be related.

McFarland said that as of Thursday afternoon no one had been charged.
