EAST MILLINOCKET and MARIETTA, Ga. – Robina S. (Peters) Runnells, 76, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 14, 2010, at Tranquility Hospice, Austell, Ga., after a long illness. She was born Feb. 8, 1934, to Goodsill and Annie Peters. Robina worked for 20 years at Millinocket Regional Hospital, starting out in housekeeping and working her way to becoming an operating room technician. When she moved to Marietta, Ga., she was an employee of Publix supermarket working in the sandwich deli for a number of years. Robina is survived by her son, George A. “Andy” Runnells Jr. and his wife, Dody, of Hudson; a son-in-law, Kevin Day of East Millinocket; her grandchildren, Melissa Creehan of East Millinocket, Thomas Creehan Jr. and fiancee, Melissa Wilson, of Millinocket, Danielle Day and fiance, Chris Willigar, of Medway, Neil Runnells and his wife, Catherine, of Bangor and Robin Runnells of Hudson; her great-grandchildren, Chloe Creehan, Dakota Willigar, Jayden Runnells, Natalie Creehan and Trinity Runnells; her twin sister, Roberta and her husband, Richard Hahlbohn Sr.; and two very special nephews, Richard Hahlbohn Jr. and Robert Hahlbohn, all of Marietta, Ga. She also leaves behind her faithful companion, Lady. In addition to her parents, Robina was predeceased by her husband, George A. “Dottie” Runnells Sr.; and her daughter, Laurie A. (Runnells) Day. Friends are invited to visit with the family 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday, Dec. 17, at Lamson Funeral Home, 17 Western Ave., East Millinocket. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 18, at First Congregational Church, 11 Maple St., East Millinocket. Spring interment will be at East Millinocket Cemetery.
