SAN DIEGO – Dr. Maile Young and George Karris exchanged wedding vows on Aug. 22, 2010, at St. Spyridon Greek Orthodox Church in San Diego with Father Andrew Scordalakis officiating. The reception was held at Southwestern Yacht Club, also in San Diego. Maile is the daughter of Phil and Ann Young of Honolulu. She graduated from Roosevelt High School in Honolulu in 1995, received a Bachelor of Science degree in biology from Hillsdale College in 1999, and doctor of medicine from John A. Burns School of Medicine in 2003. She completed her internal medicine residency and board certification at Oregon Health and Sciences University, and her infectious diseases fellowship and board certification at the University of California, San Diego. George is the son of Lambros Karris and Polly Moutevelis-Burgess, both of Hampden, Maine. He graduated from Bangor High School in 1994, received Bachelor of Arts degrees in economics and psychology from Bowdoin College in 1998, and a Master of Business Administration degree from Harvard Business School, Harvard University, in 2005. The bride and groom spent their honeymoon in Cabo San Lucas. They reside in San Diego, and enjoy sailing on their boat Wai’lani in San Diego bay. email@example.com
