ORONO, Maine — The University of Maine sculpture program will hold an open studio night 3-6 p.m. Friday, Dec. 10, at the Fire Station Sculpture Studio at the corner of Flagstaff and Beddington roads on the university campus.
Wood, metal and plaster sculptures crafted by 52 stu-dents of the beginner and ad-vanced sculpture courses will be on display. Several students will be at the open house to talk about sculpting techniques such as blacksmithing and bent-wood lamination. Many sculptures will be for sale, priced for holiday gifts.
