38 arrested in Maine warrant sweep

ALFRED, Maine — State police say they arrested 38 people in York County in a November roundup of people who had outstanding arrest warrants.

Troopers, York County sheriff’s deputies and the U.S. Marshals Service made the arrests. In all, 52 separate charges were lodged against the 38 people. All but one were taken to the York County Jail in Alfred.

Among the charges lodged were robbery, burglary, aggravated assault, receiving stolen property, domestic violence and drug offenses. Three also were arrested on charges of being a fugitive from justice for pending charges in New Hampshire.
