Planned interruption of electric service canceled

BANGOR, Maine — A planned interruption in electric service originally scheduled for early Wednesday morning has been canceled, Bangor Hydro-Electric Co. announced Tuesday.

The interruption had been planned for midnight to 4 a.m. Wednesday on the north side of Main Street in downtown Bangor affecting the Freese’s Assisted Living facility and the Greyhound bus terminal, among other customers.

No reschedule date has been set. Bangor Hydro said it will alert customers and local officials should a new date and time be chosen.
