BREWER, Maine — Police are seeking the public’s help in their investigation into an indecent exposure incident.

The incident occurred about 2:50 p.m. Friday, when two female public school students reported that an unknown man exposed himself to them near the intersection of Somerset and Cedar streets, Brewer police Capt. Jason Moffitt said Monday.

The suspect is described as a white male, about 20 to 30 years old, who was wearing jeans, a tan jacket and hat, Moffitt said. The suspect reportedly drove away in a silver “Jeep-style” vehicle.

Moffitt released few other details on Monday. He did, however, say that the man was outside of his vehicle when he exposed himself.

Moffitt said police hope to hear from potential witnesses as well as anyone else who might have information about the alleged crime or the suspect, who had not been identified as of Monday.

“There definitely isn’t a cause for panic,” Moffitt said. “This has been an isolated incident. People should take the usual safety precautions.”

Anyone with information about this incident is urged to contact the Brewer Police Department at 989-7001.
