THOMASTON, Maine – The Humane Society of Knox County took in 15 chihuahuas from Los Angeles Tuesday night. The dogs are all up for adoption.

The Thomaston shelter took a batch of chihuahuas in May from the kill shelter in California and had more applications than dogs. Some of the left-over applicants will now get their pets.

Interested adopters should visit the shelter between 11 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday.
