An 18-year-old Orono man was arrested Tuesday evening on an assault charge after he punched a 19-year-old Glenburn man in the face and broke one tooth, Orono police Capt. Josh Ewing said Wednesday.

“They know each other and had some sort of dispute over property,” he said.

Damian Ouellette, who had been arrested on a disorderly conduct charge on Oct. 2 during the Orono High School football game against Old Town and who was out on bail, was charged with three counts of violating conditions of his release as well as criminal threatening, assault and failing to update his address.

“There [were] some threats made, then Damian hit him,” Ewing said.

The victim’s face and mouth were bloody from the fight and a front tooth was broken, Ewing said. The Glenburn man did not seek medical care.

Ouellette was taken to the Penobscot County Jail in Bangor and remained there Wednesday afternoon. (Nok-Noi Ricker, BDN)
