ARLENE F. BUZZELL

HERMON – Arlene Francis (Prescott) Buzzell, 47, passed away peacefully Nov. 12, 2010, surrounded by her loving family at a Bangor hospital. Arlene was born March 24, 1963, in Bangor, to M. Earl Jr. and Virgina (Drew) Prescott. Arlene was a dedicated worker in several local hotels as a housekeeper. Arlene’s number one priority in life was her family. Her life was centered on her family, especially her children and grandchildren. One of Arlene’s greatest accomplishments was adopting a six-month-old child and raising him to be a successful man. Arlene will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend to all. Arlene is survived by her loving husband, Everett L. Buzzell; children, Matthew L. Grindle Buzzell, Jennifer L. Buzzell and significant other, Adam Baker, and Amanda L. Buzzell; granddaughter, Alex Olivia Buzzell Baker; granddaughter to be born, Ava Arlene Grace Lucy Baker, all of Hermon; sisters, Barbara Goodale and husband, Harold Jr., Linda Ward and Mary Ellen Prescott; brothers, Lawrence Prescott, David Prescott and wife, Cynthia, and Gary Prescott and wife, Juanita; brothers-in-law and their respective families, Patrick Buzzell, Alton Buzzell and Vernon Buzzell; sisters-in-law and their respective families, Lorna Gelonese, Lorraine Keirstead and Cindy Buzzell; her mother-in-law and father-in-law, who were like second parents to her, Janet and Linden Buzzell Jr.; as well as many special aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Arlene was predeceased by her parents; and a sister, Kathy-Jo Prescott. Family and friends may visit 5-7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 19, at Hampden-Gilpatrick Funeral Home, 45 Western Ave., where a funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 20, with Pastor Jamie Simpson officiating. Interment will be at Lakeview Cemetery, Hampden. Memorial contributions in Arlene’s honor may be made to Children’s Miracle Network of EMHS to support pediatric oncology, care of Healthcare Charities, P.O. Box 931, Bangor, ME 04402-0931.
