BANGOR-BREWER — Veterans of World War II, Korean War, Vietnam War and the global war on terrorism, walk or ride in Veterans Day parade, 10:30 a.m. Nov. 11; parade forms at 9 a.m. at the auto parts building at 373 Wilson St., Brewer. Cyr buses available for those needing to ride. Veterans who want to ride may leave their cars by 9:30 a.m. on Exchange Street in Bangor or in the parking garage and be brought to Brewer. Buses also bring veterans from Exchange Street back to Brewer after parade ends.

CARIBOU — George Mathis, commander of the state’s Disabled American Veterans, will be the keynote speaker at a Veterans Day ceremony at 11 a.m. Nov. 11 at the Northern Maine Veterans Cemetery. Other guest speakers will include Harry Hafford, chairman of the NMVC Corp., and representatives from the offices of Maine’s congressional delegation. There also will be music, laying of the wreath and a 21-gun salute.
