Ten Bucks Theatre Company auditions for “Epic Proportions,” written by Larry Coen and David Crane and directed by Arthur Morison, will be held 1-4 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 13, at the Eddington-Clifton Civic Center (Comins Hall), 1387 Main Road in Eddington, and from 1-4 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 14, at The Grand Auditorium, 165 Main St. in Ellsworth.
Set in the 1930s, “Epic Proportions” tells the story of two brothers, Benny and Phil, who go to the Arizona desert to be extras in the huge Biblical epic “Exeunt Omnes.” Things move quickly in this riotous comedy, and before you know it, Phil is directing the movie and Benny is starring in it. To complicate matters further, they both fall in love with Louise, the assistant director in charge of the extras.
No monologues are necessary, as script readings will be provided. In addition to actors, there are openings for a sound designer-operator and a stage manager.
“Epic Proportions” will be performed at 7 p.m. Feb. 10-12 and 17-19, and at 2 p.m. Feb. 13 and 20 (dates subject to change) at the Eddington-Clifton Civic Center (Comins Hall). For information, call 884-1030 or visit www.tenbuckstheatre.org.
