The BDN is beginning a weekly basketball column by former longtime basketball coach Bob Cimbollek.
Cimbollek will be commenting on an assortment of topics, which will be assigned by BDN sports editor Joe McLaughlin.
In more than 40 years as a high school basketball coach at Fort Fairfield, Orono, Bangor and John Bapst of Bangor, Cimbollek compiled a record of 441-161 (.733) with 12 appearances in the Eastern Maine finals, six in the state finals, and five state titles. He has also been been a high school and college basketball official for 42 years.
