Bangor Hydro plans Howland outage early Tuesday

Updated:

HOWLAND, Maine — About 1,100 Bangor Hydro-Electric Co. customers will lose electrical service in a planned outage from 4 to 5:30 a.m. Tuesday, a company spokesman said Monday.

Crews will be moving utility lines as part of preliminary work on the bridge across the Piscataquis River.

Affected areas will include Route 116 south to Argyle, West Lagrange and River roads and Route 116 north to Hardy Brook Road, as well as all side streets in these areas.

If the weather prevents the work, the interruption will occur on Wednesday.
